2009 NHL All-Star Saturday — Zdeno Chara’s Then-Record 105.4 MPH Hardest Shot

This NHL All-Star Saturday event was held January 24, 2009, at the Bell Centre in Montréal. Its standout moment came when Zdeno Chara recorded a then-record 105.4 mph shot to win the Hardest Shot competition. The event also included the YoungStars Game, where the Rookies beat the Sophomores 9–5 and Blake Wheeler was named MVP. Other skills-event winners included Andrew Cogliano, Alex Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin, and Shane Doan. Collectible interest centers on Chara’s record-setting performance and the All-Star Weekend program.
